Imperfect Sustainability: Part II

Road to Responsibility

Sustainable practices at no cost

Walk it, bus it, group it

  • Not all of us have the luxury of living in nice or moderate weather, but when possible, walking is a great way to reduce your vehicle’s part in gas emission release.

  • If you like city trips as we do, why not jump on the train or bus instead of driving? Those forms of transportation will run anyways so you might as well take advantage!

  • When you do choose to drive, give your friends the gift of taking a breather for once and carpool. Not only will there be fewer cars on the road, but you can take control of the AUX cord, throw on a playlist, and play DJ for the ride.

Getting that wardrobe together

  • Sustainability doesn’t only have to start after a purchase, some items don’t deserve your attention in the first place! Never feel bad for saying no.

  • As you shop, think about the practicality of the piece, if you’d get good use out of it, and most importantly how much you love it.

  • Keep in mind, as of now, sustainable and responsible fashion tends to be a bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. Don’t be afraid to invest in quality staple pieces.

  • Keep an eye out for future blog posts dedicated to this topic!
